Please send a card...

Below is an excerpt from Melinda's latest email.  Her niece has a rare form of Leukemia.

From Melinda:

The number one prayer, of course, is for a complete healing, with
Godspeed.

Also, I am particularly trying to get children to pray for Amber, so if
possible, maybe you know some who would pray.
Anyone who  might  be interested in sending her a card or letter or
picture or favorite book or Christian cd/dvd/story.... (remember, she
is stuck in a hospital room all day), would be most appreciated.  We
want to brighten up her spirit, and because she likes to laugh, do
whatever we can to bring that on, as we know that not only is laughter
good for the spirit, it is healing to the body and bones.  Last night 
Amber told me about one of the funny 'Get Well' cards she had received.
The front said:

"Recent research shows that an apple a day might not keep the doctor
away"

The inside of the card read:

"It all depends on how hard you throw it and how good your aim is."

After all the needles, blood transfusions, body waste analysis, spinal
taps...she's been getting, I'm sure that humor resonated deeply with
her.
