Thursday Update, 4:30 PM The Muddy Mississippi has been forded!

The 41 Pine Ridge Missionaries have just crossed the Mississippi River from Wisconsin into Minnesota.  They are behind schedule due to the monumental traffic jam in Chicago, but are happy and healthy.  Spirits perked up when Jackie announced that they will be feasting on Olive Garden in Sioux Falls, SD this evening.  Estimated time of arrival in Sioux Falls is 8 PM CDT.

 

While talking to Jackie, it was interesting to hear the chatter in the background on the walkie-talkies they have - sounds like the Chicago O'Hare Airport Control Tower.

 

(For those of us that are old enough to remember, how did we manage to do mission trips without even cell phones, GPS, text messages, and email????)
